Kay Harrison Obituary

The Memorial services celebrating and honoring the life of Yonna “Kay” Harrison, 80, of Enid, Oklahoma will be held in Tyrone, Oklahoma on December 19th.

Kay was born November 26, 1941, to Alfred and Vivian Roberts Webb in Enid, Oklahoma and went to be with the Lord on November 26, 2021 in Enid, Oklahoma.

She was raised and educated in Enid graduating from Enid High School with the class of 1959. She began working at St. Mary’s Hospital as a candy striper. She married Donald Keith Harrison September 16, 1961, in Enid. From this union came four children. The family moved throughout the United States following her husband’s career. The couple made their home in Clinton, Oklahoma where they were long standing members of The First Church of God. In 2018 she returned to Enid to live with her son.

Primarily a homemaker to her family, as well as most of the neighborhood kids, she still found time to spend uncountable volunteer hours at her church, her children's schools, and the election board.  In whatever spare time she had left she enjoyed crafting, sewing, knitting, and painting. She was a devout christian who raised her family well. She was a mentor and a staunch defender of children's rights.  She set the standard on focusing on what was important in life; Family. She never went a day without praying for and thinking about her family. She always put her family first and she wouldn’t allow the sun to set without telling her grandkids how much she loved them.

She was a loving wife to Don as well as a loving mother figure to Brett, Brian, Beverly, Becky, Tim, Cheri, and their spouses.   Her grandchildren; Ray Murray IV, Tyler Campbell, Christian Mack, Tanner Campbell, Alyssa Murray, Ryan Murray, Ashley Murray, Emma Mack, Katrice Campbell, Kayla Campbell, Tyler Campbell, & Bailey Slaughterback.

She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Harrison and her best friend Karen Campbell. She is survived by her sister Billie Hemmingway, sister-in-law Dorothy Webb, her brother-in-law Arnold Harrison, and her children and grandchildren.
