The Memorial services celebrating and honoring the life of Ronald Gene Smith, 73, of Enid, will be held privately.
Ronald was born January 6, 1949, to Mabon and Joyce Foster Smith in Enid, Oklahoma and passed from this life December 24, 2022, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
He was raised and educated in Enid. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Army Where he served in Vietnam and in the #III Army Core of Engineers. He honorably served the United States twice from 1967-1970 and then re-enlisted from 1975-1976. He worked as a grain inspector for many years.
He was a member of the Enid Moose Lodge where he enjoyed playing pool, he was known by “Driller”, he also played in Pool tournaments in Enid and surrounding towns. He enjoyed playing claw games and pin ball machines, collecting toys, cars, and novelty items and meeting with his siblings on the weekends just to laugh and talk.
He is survived by his siblings, Gary and Deanna Smith, of Belton, Texas, L. Gail Litton, of Enid, Doug R. Smith, of Enid, and E. Janie and Charlie Carpenter, of Lahoma, twenty-four nieces and nephews, thirty-nine great nieces and nephews and ten great-great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mabon and Joyce Smith; sisters, Marilyn Shahan and Carol Bond; brother-in-law, James F. Litton II; sister-in-law, Juanita B. Smith; niece Cassie R. Bennett; and two nephews, John-O Brisbois, and Jason C. Bond.
